Summary of Job: The vault function is responsible for managing the resort's operating cash, including distribution and collection of cash to various resort departments in order to support their business needs.


 


Essential Job Responsibilities:


 



  • Verify 100% of revenue using reports and cashier back-up.

  • Report revenues of manual sales locations via PC data entry.

  • Maintain records in a neat manner for fast retrieval.

  • Count money quickly and accurately.

  • Handle large cash transactions with various departments/employees accurately.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees/managers from other departments.

  • Must be very attentive to detail, possess great organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

  • Maintain a safe work environment for employees and guests.

  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally to staff and Guests. Respond and engage with customer suggestions, complaints, and recognition.

  • Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations of Vail Resorts and Afton Alps.

  • Develop, adhere to, and role model the company's mission, vision, and values.

  • Other duties as assigned.


 


Job Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

  • Must pass background check

  • Strong communication and organizational skills



  • Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.

  • Previous accounting experience €“ Preferred

  • Previous cash handling experience - Preferred

  • Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year.  Must be willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends €“ Required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
